Charity Race wraps up Takapuna Beach Series

The Starboard SUP crew out in force...

Many thanks to all the SUPers who have been doing the Takapuna Beach Series this 2009/2010 season...  Starboard NZ was the official sponsor of the 3.5km weekly SUP race, putting over $8000 worth of prizes into the event (which saw over 80 SUP entrants over the 16 week season), and enabling hundreds of wannabe paddlers to get out on the water with Tuesday night board demos. 

Overall winner of the series was Starboard CEO Jeremy Stephenson, in second place Troy Huston and third place Mark Jackson.  Overall womens winner was Katherine Heatley, followed by Carolyn Watts in second and in third Rose Houghton.

A huge thank you to Mark and Rose for hosting most of the post-race BBQs.  Thanks to all you guys it was a great event full of fun and atmosphere and awesome people.
