"Yoga has been a part of me life for the past 17 years. I started The Floating Mat SUP Yoga initially for the Paddle For Hope Event, and throuhg that we have formed a lovely community of SUP Yogis on the North Shore. Whether we are practicing yoga on paddle boards or on mats in a studio, there is a sense of connection with ourselves, with the people sharing our practice, and with the environment we are in, the world around us.

Practicing on the water instills a sense of wonder and respect for our natural environment, it encourages us to be very present in our body (as the consequences are immediate and sometimes chilly!) and it fills us with a sensation of contentment and connection. Through SUP Yoga we can peace within - outside!"

NZ SUP NATIONALS 2017

Varied, exciting and proven courses, a great race director and awesome televised media coverage. A smattering of great athletes- Trevor Tunnington, Noa Hopper, Ollie Houghton, Marcus Hansen, & some old salty dogs- JP Tobin, Armie Armstrong, Gavin Houghton and Jeremy Stephenson. Not to mention not just one, but TWO World Champion women. It's lining up to be one hell of an event at Orewa 2017, whether you're participating in any of the 10 events from the 1km SIC Flatwater to the Magrette 15-18km Long Distance, or cheering from the beach.
